TURBO REXX - The Ancient Stories CD

Turbo Rexx is a new band from Italy that last year released a demo as Turbo Mass. Shortly thereafter the name was changed to Turbo Rexx, with this 'The Ancient Stories' as the first result. The most famous name in this band is probably guitarist Guido Tiberi, whom epic heavy metal purists might know from Axevyper, Hyborian Steel and Assedium.

Turbo Rexx's music is in general very much in the same line as the aforementioned bands, and that means traditional, old-fashioned NWOBHM with here and there an epic charge. For these men the world has ceased to exist musically somewhere around 1985. That should in fact say enough about what you can expect. Add a combination of bands like Iron Maiden, Saxon, Raven, Cirith Ungol and of course Manilla Road to that imagine, and a bit of speed metal a la Exciter, and the picture is complete.
